The City Attorney's office is the custodian of all city records. Requests for public records are governed by state law at Section 14-2.1 NMSA 1978, and amended by the city's
Public Records Policy.
Public Records requests will be accepted during the work week from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Original records may not be removed from city of Santa Fe offices.
Fees
The Public Records Policy includes a schedule of fees. The fees cover the cost of copying records. Upon submission of a public records request, you are agreeing to pay all fees associated with the request. You may be asked to pay copy fees in advance.
