These batteries can be recycled at the Buckman Road Recycling Transfer (BuRRT)Station at 2600 Buckman Road or the Environmental Services Division at 1142 Siler Road
- Cell phone batteries
- Cordless phone batteries
- Cordless drill batteries
- Laptop batteries
- All rechargeable batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, etc.)
- Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd)
- Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-Mh)
- Lithium Ion (Li-ion)
- Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn)
- Small Sealed Lead (Pb)
Non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline) are not accepted.
Car batteries (wet cell) are classified as hazardous waste and will be accepted at the household hazardous waste (HHW) facilities at the Buckman Road Recycling Transfer Station.
