After School Program

At this time the Monica Roybal Youth Center After School Program is currently on a waiting list.  If you would like to place your child on the list please call (505) 955-6568.

This year the cost for the program will be a total of $450.00 per child partcipant.  This will be broken up into three payments of $150.00 (due at the time of registration) or can be paid in full.  It is cash or money order only.  We do not accept checks.

The staff of the Monica Roybal After School Program transport children from the following schools:

• Carlos Gilbert Elementary
• E.J. Martinez Elementary
• Gonzales Community School
• Piñon Elementary
• Salazar Elementary
• Santo Niño Regional Catholic School

Recreational Activities
The Monica Roybal Center has indoor and outdoor space for a variety of sporting and recreational activities for the children. The center also offers field trips to the Children's Museum, libraries, movie theaters, parks, pools, skating rink, etc.  

Reading Program
This program assists children who's reading skills are not at their grade level. Once placed in the program, with the permission of the parents, the children are paired with a middle-school or high-school students to read one-on-one. The reading assistants are screened and interviewed and many of them were once child participants of the program.
