Gear up for Santa Fe Bike Month!

25 Apr, 2022
MAY is Santa Fe Bike Month, a 100+ year-old Santa Fe tradition that showcases the many benefits of bicycling and encourages more community members to give two wheels a try. Under the leadership of the Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), a group of local businesses, non-profits, government agencies, and proud bicyclists have put together a menu of fun activities to celebrate Bike Month.

More Reasons to Bike to the Railyard! (May 1-31)
This year a number of businesses in the Railyard (and beyond!) are encouraging folks to leave the car at home and avoid the hassles of parking. Arriving by bicycle means discounts and freebies. Check out Opuntia, Boxcar, and the Violet Crown by bicycle and get rewarded!

Experience Art by Bike! (May 14)
Inspired by last year’s Performance Art Bike Ride, the Santa Fe MPO and the City of Santa Fe Arts and Culture Department and Office of Economic Development, have assembled a fun and interactive bike loop with art stops and activities: Art by Bike! On Saturday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bikers can experience a safe bike loop with protected bike lanes. Ride along on Agua Fria from Frenchy’s Field to Siler, and Siler to the River Trail, returning along the River Trail. Art stops along the way will include live music, silk screening, and activities.

Score A Deal at the 10th Annual Bike Swap! (May 15)
The Bike Swap is returning! Buy, sell or trade kid and adult bikes, parts, clothing, or accessories in the parking lot of Betterday Coffee on Sunday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
