Road Closures for Indian Market 2023 Begin Thursday, August 17, at 12 p.m.

The SWAIA's 101st Indian Market will take place on Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20, on the Santa Fe Plaza and surrounding locations downtown. To accommodate the event, the following streets and areas will close to vehicle traffic beginning on Thursday, August 17, at 12 p.m. through Sunday, August 20:

  • Santa Fe Plaza
  • E. San Francisco St. from Don Gaspar to Cathedral Pl.
  • Cathedral Pl. from E. Palace Ave to E. Water St.
  • Old Santa Fe Tr. from Water St. to E. Palace Ave
  • Palace Ave from Grant Ave to Otero St.
  • Washington St. from Palace Ave to Nusbaum St.
  • Marcy St. from Grant Ave to Washington St.
  • Lincoln Ave from S. Federal Pl. to W. Palace Ave

Parking Meters: Parking meter bagging will begin on Wednesday, August 16, at 6 p.m. All vehicles must vacate parking spaces with bagged meters by 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 17.

Buses: The Santa Fe Trails Sheridan Transit Center will temporarily reroute to W. Alameda between Sandoval and Guadalupe St. (across from the De Vargas Park) starting the evening of Wednesday, August 16, through Sunday, August 20. Santa Fe Trails will offer free fares in honor of the Market on Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20.

Roads will reopen, and regular vehicle access will resume on Monday, August 21.
