Apply for the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board and Help Shape Your Community?s Future

The City of Santa Fe is looking for teenagers and young adults who are interested in getting involved and creating change in their community! Young people ages 13 to 21 are encouraged to apply to the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board (MYAB) (deadline: September 12, 2022). Participating on the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board is an excellent leadership opportunity that allows youth to give input on issues and projects that impact young people in Santa Fe.

The purpose of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board is to provide, input, suggestions or recommendations to the Governing Body of the City of Santa Fe pertaining to matters affecting youth in the community. The Board consists of seven (7) members and three (3) alternate members who represent youth from around Santa Fe. A non-voting City Councilor is also appointed to the Board to provide support. The board currently meets the fourth Thursday of every month from 5-6:30 p.m. (date and time are subject to change).

There are currently three (3) vacant board seats and three (3) alternate seats open. Interested applicants may apply by submitting an emailed letter of interest and a resume to: Brian Stinett, Recreation Division Director bjstinett@santafenm.gov
