Celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Southside Library

8 Aug, 2022

Free, Family-Friendly Event On Saturday, August 13, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Santa Fe Public Library invites community members to the Southside Library’s 15th anniversary celebration on Saturday, August 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festivities will include community booths with local non-profits, live music, arts and crafts projects, performances, and food trucks. The event is free and open to all ages.

“Public libraries provide a wealth of resources and activities for all, and our Santa Fe libraries are the heart of the community. We are thrilled to invite you to celebrate with us at the beautiful Southside Library as we mark the anniversary of this important community resource!” said Community Services Director Maria Sanchez-Tucker.

The Southside Library has provided friends and neighbors across Santa Fe with access to literature, technology, and a wide variety of programming since it opened its doors in 2007. A combination of public and private initiatives brought the project to life, and thanks to the efforts of the librarians and staff, the Friends of the Library, and the Library’s dedicated patrons, it became and remains a central part of the Southside community today.
