The City's Office of Affordable Housing invites community members to provide feedback on the draft of the 2022-23 CAPER, now available on the City’s website. The City of Santa Fe receives an annual grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) called the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), which is used to address the housing and community development needs of Santa Fe’s residents with low-and-moderate-incomes. As a condition of funding, the City submits the Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) to HUD, which describes how CDBG funds were used in the community for the program year. The CAPER describes the extent to which priorities, goals, and strategies have been met as identified in the City’s 2018–2022 Consolidated Plan.
The draft 2022-23 CAPER reflecting community and stakeholder input is available for review on the City of Santa Fe’s website in the HUD Required Reporting and Plans section of the Office of Affordable Housing pages. The public comment period will run from August 28 through September 15, 2023. Members of the public are encouraged to review the report and submit comments and feedback. Paper copies can be provided upon request: cjminnich@santafenm.gov or 505-955-6574.
A public hearing to consider the CAPER will be held at the regular City Council meeting at City Hall on September 13, 2023, at 7 p.m. Instructions for participating in the meeting, as well as the agenda and packet materials, will be available on the City’s PrimeGov portal in advance of the meeting.
