City of Santa Fe Update: No Planned Power Shutoff, Stay Prepared

6 Mar, 2025

At this time, PNM has confirmed that there is no planned Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) for Santa Fe. However, due to high winds and weather conditions, power outages may still occur, particularly from downed trees or debris impacting power lines.

PNM has increased the sensitivity of its power lines, meaning they may shut off automatically if there is contact with them as a preventative measure. This could lead to longer outage durations, as crews will need to visually inspect lines before restoring power.

Stay Prepared

  • Expect potential weather-related power outages.
  • Report outages at PNM.com/outage or text #OUT to 78766.
  • View real-time outage information at PNM.com/outagemap.
  • Secure outdoor belongings and avoid downed power lines.

The City of Santa Fe will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary. Stay safe, stay informed, and be prepared for possible service disruptions.
