SANTA FE, April 3, 2024 –Preparations are being made to begin budget hearings beginning April 16 and continuing until April 30 for the 2025 City of Santa Fe fiscal year.

In advance of the budget hearings, the City invites the public to provide input on budget priorities during the Petitions from the Floor segment of the April 10, 2024, Governing Body meeting.  

For 2025, the main theme of the budget is investing in the City workforce. The focus of the 2024 budget was on sustainability.

The Governing Body typically hears Petitions from the Floor at approximately 7 p.m. Each person who wishes to address the City Council will be allocated two minutes.  

The public can attend the 5 p.m. meeting at City Hall.

Public comments may also be made via Zoom. Join the meeting using this link and follow the Clerk’s instructions, including raising your virtual hand to indicate that you would like to speak.

Written public comments can be submitted here after the agenda is published publicly at 5 p.m. Friday, April 5.

The FY25 operating budget is due to the State Department of Finance and Administration by June 1. This is a statutory deadline.
