Public Meeting for Sheridan Downtown Transit Center Improvements

2 Nov, 2022

The City of Santa Fe Public Works Department invites community members to attend a public meeting to review, comment, and provide feedback on the planning for the Sheridan Downtown Transit Center at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, in the Milagro and Kearny rooms at the Santa Fe Convention Center (201 W. Marcy St.).

The Sheridan Transit Center is utilized by locals and tourists alike, and is the downtown hub for pick-up and drop-off for bus riders on both the Santa Fe Trails and North Central Regional Transit District buses. It is also the drop-off point for Rail Runner and Santa Fe Plaza Pick-Up riders. The City applied for a Federal Highway Administration grant to support a redesign to upgrade the center’s appearance and usability.

The improvements will include bus lane realignment and Sheridan Street repaving, sidewalk area widening, new brick-paved walkways, tree and tree well installations with steel grates in the sidewalk area, new bus shelters, and removal of the existing electronic information kiosk.
