Veterans Advisory Board Seeking New Members

5 Apr, 2023

The City of Santa Fe’s Veterans Advisory Board is now seeking applications for new members. The Advisory Board aims to address matters affecting veterans and propose solutions to support local veterans. Members of the board are responsible for administering the Veterans’ Assistance Fund and the SFCC Veteran Scholarship program, as well as organizing veteran-centered events for the community.

Members are appointed by the Mayor with approval from the Governing Body. At least three members of the board must be veterans or immediate family members of veterans, and representation from the business community, mental health providers, local housing providers, and homeless services providers is strongly encouraged. Members must reside within Santa Fe County.

The board meets on the third Tuesday of every other month from 3 to 5 p.m. in a hybrid meeting format for remote and in-person attendance. The meetings are open to the public.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume to Brittany Rodriguez, Youth and Family Services Program Manager/Veterans Advisory Board Liaison, at bcrodriguez@santafenm.gov.
