SANTA FE, May 18 – The Santa Fe Public Library (SFPL) is pleased to announce that all library locations will resume evening hours Tuesday through Thursday by May 31, 2022. Due to the City of Santa Fe’s ongoing hiring efforts, all SFPL locations will now be open for in-person services Tuesday–Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. All locations also continue to be open Fridays and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The Main Library (145 Washington Ave.) begins the new schedule on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. The Oliver La Farge Branch (1730 Llano St.) and Southside Branch (6599 Jaguar Dr.) will begin the new schedule on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
“Our libraries are so much more than books – they’re community hubs with resources and opportunities for people of all ages," said Maria Sanchez-Tucker, Community Services Director. “We are so excited to again have these extended evening hours for our patrons, and we can’t thank them enough for their patience and support over the past two years.”
The SFPL meeting rooms at all three branches will be available for reservation during the extended evening hours. Patrons can also schedule a one-on-one tech help session with a librarian, and receive a free personal introduction to all the resources available at the library, as well as tips about utilizing a new laptop, tablet or phone.
SFPL promotes access to ideas and information by providing the public a catalog of materials, free computers and WiFi on their premises, interlibrary loans, digital materials, and meeting rooms for events, as well as programs for children, youth, and adults.
