Audit Committee Seeks Members

22 Nov, 2021

Applications Due November 30, 2021

The Municipal Court Judge is now accepting applications to serve on the City of Santa Fe Audit Committee.

The Audit Committee is an independent advisory body, established pursuant to the City of Santa Fe Municipal Charter. The purpose of the committee is to conduct independent reviews of internal and external audits and to advise the City Manager, the Finance Committee, and the Governing Body regarding such audits, assessments, and investigations, and to recommend the adoption of policies and procedures that promote the transparency, accountability, efficiency, and effectiveness of city government for the citizens of Santa Fe.

Service on the Audit Committee is on a volunteer, unpaid basis; terms last for two years and three years. Those who have interest and/or professional expertise in accounting and auditing (CPA preferred) are encouraged to submit an application to Municipal Court Judge Virginia Vigil. Serving on the Audit Committee will require time to attend regular meetings and to review Audit Committee agenda items, such as internal and external audits, and other financial assessments.

Apply: Please submit a letter of interest and brief resume to Judge Virginia Vigil, City of Santa Fe Municipal Court (vmvigil@santafenm.gov).

Application deadline: 5 p.m., November 30, 2021.
