Bike to the Santa Fe Summer Movies Grande Finale: “Mean Girls”

29 Jul, 2022

Mayor's Youth Advisory Board's First Teen Movie Night

The Community Engagement Department's #SantaFeSummer Free Movie Nights series will wrap up with a free screening of "Mean Girls" on Friday, August 12, at Ragle Park. It’s our first Teen Night hosted by the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Board, and we’re also partnering with the Santa Fe MPO to make it easier and safer to bike in for the event!

Pop-Up Protected Bike Lane on Yucca Street – from Ponderosa Lane to Vista de Jemez – will be set up to create a low-stress route for folks to bike to the movie from nearby neighborhoods or by taking the Arroyo de Los Chamisos trail. You can also park at the Railyard or at Santa Fe Place Mall for an extended ride to Ragle Park. Bike Santa Fe will be offering complimentary bike valet for the event!

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. The MPO and the Environmental Services Division Sustainability Office are giving away 100 USB-Rechargeable Bike Lights to those who arrive on two wheels, and we'll also have a “Bling Your Bike” station open for the hour before the movie for bikers to decorate their bikes for the ride home.

Use the map below to plan your route, and don’t forget to bring your blankets and snacks (but none for Gretchen Weiners, bye!).
