‘Built for the Future’ Conference Planned for June 10

24 May, 2024

The City of Santa Fe’s Planning and Land Use Department will be hosting its inaugural 'Built for the Future' conference convening on June 10 at the Santa Fe Convention Center from 8 am to 2 pm.

The event will bring together builders, architects, planners, developers and realtors to discuss the evolving landscape of development in Santa Fe.  In this planned series of community engagement events, the main focus of the first convening will be on planning and permitting literacy.

Participants will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of how to better navigate planning and permitting processes, avoid common errors, and help ensure timely processing of land use activities.

The Land Use Department is working to advance innovative solutions to enhance operations and to streamline and improve processes.

These improvements are part of broader policy updates, including a thorough revision of the Land Development Code and General Plan Update (that will include the creation of a robust digital platform solution allowing quicker more effective access to planning and permitting documents and data).

These initiatives will help achieve optimal alignment of the goals of the community with much-needed housing and commercial development to meet the needs of Santa Fe.
