The ribbon cutting for the Canada Rincon Trail will take place on February 14 at 11 a.m. at 1597 Avenida Rincon (intersection of Avenida Rincon and Canada Rincon Trail). Mayor Webber, Councilors Castro and Lindell, Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) Chair and members, Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization (SFMPO), Parks, and The Reserve Condominium Board Members are expected to be in attendance. Refreshments will be provided.
The Canada Rincon Trail is a 0.38-mile, 10-ft wide, landscaped multi-use concrete path that runs from Calle Mejia to Camino Francisca/Avenida Rincon. It will improve the overall transportation connectivity within the city’s non-motorized urban trail/on-street bicycle network, which lies to the north of Camino Francisca and destinations to the south. Project construction started in January 2024 with funding from the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the City of Santa Fe.
Please RSVP by February 12 at noon to Romella Glorioso-Moss, Complete Streets Capital Projects Manager, rsglorioso-moss@santafenm.gov.
