SANTA FE, April 8, 2022 — The City of Santa Fe Parks and Open Space Division is conducting a virtual public meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, April 26, at 5:30 p.m. to discuss upcoming Phase 2 work to expand SWAN Park. Public input is being requested at this meeting and through follow-up surveys before any Phase 2 development occurs.
Parks and Open Space Division Director Melissa McDonald.says: “We are excited to re-engage the public in conversations about SWAN Park and to understand community priorities for park use and amenities. We are aware that COVID-19 has impacted how our community values and utilizes outdoor space, and we want to work closely with the community to develop and implement Phase 2 plans that provide the most benefit to all who use SWAN Park.”

The Parks Division has engaged with consultant NV5 to facilitate this public meeting and to help with ongoing project planning and oversight. NV5 is a provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sectors, offering solutions through six (6) business verticals: Program Management, Construction Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Geospatial, Energy and Environmental. This project is being supported by NV5 Program Management’s Santa Fe-based staff with additional support from other NV5 offices in the region.
The SWAN Park improvements are part of a strategic, city-wide parks improvement plan to upgrade numerous parks, facilities and features. Click for more information on the planned upgrades.
