Join us on January 16th for the opening of our newest exhibition, “Free Our Flowers,”
featuring work by local photographer Robert Washington-Vaughns.
“Free Our Flowers” is a photographic series celebrating the resilience, beauty, and
liberation of Black men and boys in the American Southwest.
“Free Our Flowers” will open on January 16th from 5-7 pm, with a public event,
and will remain on view through February 8th. Gallery hours are noon-5
Tuesday through Friday, and noon-5 on Saturday. The Community Gallery
is located in the Convention Center at 201 W. Marcy Street.

There will be additional events throughout the exhibition:
“Reclaiming Wellness: The Intersection of Art and Therapy” Saturday, January 25th
from 1-2:30 pm, the Community Gallery will host a live discussion between
the artist and one of his photo subjects.
“Valentine Extravaganza” Saturday, February 8th, from 10 am-12 pm,
a Valentine's collage Workshop for 15-20 participants. Be on the lookout for
