A public Memorial Service for Senior Police Officer Robert Duran will be held on Saturday March 12, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

 On behalf of the family of Officer Duran, the Santa Fe Police Department is extending an invitation to members of the public, our media partners, state, local and community leaders, and all active and retired public safety professionals to attend the memorial service to honor the life and service of Officer Duran.  

Officer Duran joined the Santa Fe Police Department in January of 2015 as a police cadet. He was assigned to the Patrol Section and served as a team leader for the department’s Emergency Response Team. Officer Duran died in the line of duty on March 2, 2022. He was married and has two teenage sons.
