City of Santa Fe offices and facilities will be closed in observance of New Year’s on Monday, January 2, 2023. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
Facilities with weekend hours will also be closed on Saturday, December 31, and Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Holiday Schedule for Trash & Recycling Pick Up
There will be no residential trash and recycling collection on Monday, January 2, 2023. Collection will slide forward to the next day (see graphic below). Place carts curbside no later than 7 a.m. for collection.

Santa Fe Trails & Ride Transportation services will be on a holiday schedule on Saturday, December 31. There will be no Transit services on Sunday, January 1, 2023. On Monday, January 2, 2023, transit services will resume a regular weekday schedule. Transit Administrative Offices will be closed on January 2, 2023. Senior Centers Grab-n-Go Meals will be available for pickup on Friday, December 30. All Senior Centers will be closed on Monday, January 2. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. |
Santa Fe Public Libraries All Library locations will be closed from Saturday, December 31, through Monday, January 2, 2023. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Return book drops will be open throughout the holiday closure. Recreation Centers Recreation Centers will be closed on Saturday, December 31, through Monday, January 2, 2023, and reopening on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. The Links Bar & Grill will be closed for two weeks starting on Monday, December 19, and reopening on Monday, January 2, 2023. |
Parking – Meter Holidays
The Parking Division will observe January 1 and 2, 2023, as meter holidays. Patrons may park in metered zones at no charge.
Meter holidays only apply to metered parking spaces. Surfaces lots and garages are still subject to fees.
