Office of Affordable Housing Releases 2021-2022 CAPER

31 Aug, 2022

Public Comment Period Begins on Sept. 5

The Office of Affordable Housing’s draft of the 2021-2022 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) reflecting community and stakeholder input is now available for review on the City of Santa Fe’s website: HUD Required Reporting and Plans section. The public comment period for the CAPER begins on Monday, September 5, and continues through Tuesday, September 20.

A public hearing to discuss the CAPER will take place at the Governing Body meeting at City Hall on Wednesday, September 14, at 7:00 p.m. The agenda and packet materials for the meeting will be available at the City of Santa Fe's Prime Gov portal prior to the meeting. The public is invited to speak at the hearing about accomplishments related to affordable housing, public services and community facilities.

The City of Santa Fe receives an annual grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) called the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Funds from this grant are used to address the housing and community development needs of Santa Fe’s residents with low-and-moderate-incomes. As a condition of funding, the City submits the CAPER annually to HUD to detail how CDBG funds and other local and state funds were used in the community for the program fiscal year. The CAPER also describes which priorities, goals, and strategies in the City’s 2018–2022 Consolidated Plan have been met.

Paper copies of the CAPER are provided upon request: tocandelariamartinez@santafenm.gov or 505-316-4634. Persons with disabilities in need of accommodations may contact the City Clerk’s Office at 505-955-6521. Auxiliary aids (ASL interpreters, Braille documents) and language interpreters for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals can also be made available upon request at 505-316-4634.

All comments, feedback, and questions about the 21-22 CAPER must be submitted to Cody Minnich, Project Manager, at cjminnich@santafenm.gov by midnight on Tuesday, September 20.
