Installation Underway of Keith Haring Outdoor Fitness Court? at SWAN Park

Installation has begun at SWAN Park on the Keith Haring Outdoor Fitness Court® as part of the 2021 National Fitness Campaign. The City of Santa Fe was selected as one of only 10 cities nationwide for this facility; the apparatus is expected to be operational at the end of November.

This facility is designed to activate public spaces by uniting the inspiration of world-class art and the life-changing benefits of access to healthy infrastructure.

The Keith Haring Fitness Court initiative was born in 2020 as part of NFC’s Arts and Culture Series, which supports the NFC Grant Fund nationwide. This program unites the world-renown art of Keith Haring with a functional outdoor gym, the Fitness Court.

This is a collaborative project led by City of Santa Fe Parks and Arts and Culture Departments, with cross-departmental partnership between Recreation, Youth and Family Services, Senior Services, and support from District 3 Councilors Roman “Tiger” Abeyta and Chris Rivera.

Councilor Abeyta says: "This is another important amenity for Southside residents of all ages. I'm looking forward to the ribbon-cutting at the end of November."
