Road Closures for Indian Market 2022 Begin Thursday, August 18

Parking Meter Bagging Begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug.17

The SWAIA's 100th Indian Market will take place on Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, at the Santa Fe Plaza and surrounding locations downtown. To accommodate the event, the following streets will close to vehicle traffic beginning on Thursday, August 18, at 8 a.m. through Sunday, August 21:

 

  • Santa Fe Plaza Square
  • E. San Fransisco St. from Don Gaspar to Cathedral Pl. 
  • Old Santa Fe Tr. from Water St. to Palace Ave
  • Palace Ave from Grant Ave to Cathedral Pl.
  • Washington St. from Palace Ave to Nusbaum St. 
  • Marcy St. from Grant Ave to Washington St. 
  • Lincoln Ave. from S. Federal Pl. to W. Palace Ave

 

Parking Meters: Meter bagging will begin on Wednesday, August 17, at 6 p.m. and continue through Thursday, August 18, at 12 p.m. All vehicles must vacate parking spaces with bagged meters by 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 18.

 

Buses: The Santa Fe Trails Sheridan Transit Center will temporarily reroute to W. Alameda between Sandoval and Guadalupe St. (across from the De Vargas Park) starting Thursday morning. On Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21, Santa Fe Trails and Santa Fe Ride will offer free fares in honor of the Market.

 

Deliveries: Downtown delivery access will only be allowed during the event setup on Thursday, August 18, and Friday, August 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Deliveries must enter through Sheridan St. at W. Palace Ave. No delivery access will be allowed during the event on Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21.

 

 

Roads will reopen and regular vehicle access will resume on Monday, August 22.
