The City of Santa Fe Recreation Division and Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization invite community members to attend a Santa Fe Bike Month event featuring a Bicycle Rodeo and a nearly 1-mile bicycle loop set up at Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC) on Saturday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Community members who bike or want to learn more about cycling are encouraged to try out the bike rodeo to learn bicycle skills and get traffic safety education. Bring a bike to ride or, take advantage of free bicycle rentals at the event and then take a bike ride on the loop. Attendees can ride on their own or join guided cruises at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.! The bike path starts at GCCC, connects with pop-up protected bike lanes on Avenida de las Campanas and Rodeo Road, and then heads back to GCCC. Completing the loop will give participants a free GCCC day pass!
In addition to the bicycle rodeo and pop-up protected bike lanes, this event will feature family-friendly activities, a community art graffiti wall, bike helmet giveaways, expert bike checks, and snacks!
