Serve on the Plaza Park Artist/Artisan Program Jury Panel

10 Nov, 2022

The City is seeking Santa Fe residents to serve on the Plaza Artist/Artisan Program Jury Panel and review applications for the upcoming 2023-2027 license term. Prospective jurors are encouraged to send letters of interest to the City before Wednesday, November 23, at 4 p.m.

The vendor program is an important component of Santa Fe’s vibrant downtown culture, providing a marketplace for artists and artisans to showcase and sell exceptional artwork in the heart of the downtown area, Santa Fe Plaza Park. Artists on the Plaza work in a variety of mediums including pottery, jewelry, tin work, paintings, and more.

The Santa Fe Plaza Artist/Artisan Jury Panel is comprised of five members who are residents of the City of Santa Fe. Jurors are responsible for reviewing application portfolios, interviewing, and scoring all qualified applicants for the program’s 2023-2027 license term. The panel review meetings will take place Monday, December 5, through Thursday, December 8, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The panel will review 33 applicants whose work comes from many mediums including metalwork, 2-dimensional art, pottery, silversmith jewelry, paintings, and even handmade puppets.

Those interested in participating as a juror can submit their letter of interest to City Manager John Blair and Administrative Manager Isabella Sharpe by mail, email, or in person.

Letters delivered in person can be brought to City Hall (200 Lincoln Avenue) at the City Clerk’s Office on the second floor of the building.
