The Capital Improvements Advisory Committee is Seeking Members

The City is seeking community-minded individuals to serve on the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee.

The Committee provides review and comment on city-wide growth projections, on infrastructure improvements needed to accommodate growth, and on impact fees  levied on new development. The Committee presents an annual report to the governing body including a progress report and an audit of impact fee revenues, expenditures and fund balances. Committee membership and activities are prescribed in State and City code.

Qualifications:

  • Members may not be employees or officials of any governmental entity.
  • Members need not be residents of the city or of any specific council district.
  • At least four of the nine seats on the committee shall be representative of the real estate, development or building industries.
  • One candidate each shall be selected by the Mayor and City Councilors, for appointment by the Governing Body.
  • Membership term is two years and may be renewed.

Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest and résumé/curriculum vitae by email to the address listed below. Each is asked to provide a residential address and indicate whether or not they are representative of the real estate, development or building industries.
