The City is seeking community-minded individuals to serve on the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee.
The Committee provides review and comment on city-wide growth projections, on infrastructure improvements needed to accommodate growth, and on impact fees levied on new development. The Committee presents an annual report to the governing body including a progress report and an audit of impact fee revenues, expenditures and fund balances. Committee membership and activities are prescribed in State and City code.
Qualifications:
- Members may not be employees or officials of any governmental entity.
- Members need not be residents of the city or of any specific council district.
- At least four of the nine seats on the committee shall be representative of the real estate, development or building industries.
- One candidate each shall be selected by the Mayor and City Councilors, for appointment by the Governing Body.
- Membership term is two years and may be renewed.
