The Midtown District of Santa Fe
The Midtown District is Santa Fe’s geographic center and a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the city’s future. Spanning 64 acres, it is being reimagined as a vibrant mixed-use community that combines housing, workplaces, education, culture, and open space. Creative industries, including film, television, and digital media, will serve as major economic drivers alongside cultural and educational institutions. Midtown is home to Aspect Media Village, Midtown Arts and Design Alliance, Santa Fe Art Institute, Fogelson Library and the historic Greer Garson Theater—all of which ensure that creativity and culture remain central to the district. Plans include new proposed live/work opportunities, a central park and civic plaza, and a mix of affordable housing, offices, and public spaces.
Notable Features:
- 30% of units dedicated to affordable housing
- Nearly 8 acres of open space with a central plaza and park
- Proposed live/work housing and office spaces
- Film and digital media industry hub
- Theater, library, and cultural institutions
Guided by the Midtown Master Plan and Community Development Plan, the district will be a hub of economic growth and cultural vitality that reflects Santa Fe’s identity and serves its residents for generations to come.
