Governing Body to Consider Consultant Proposed to Lead Process. Committee Hearings Today, Tomorrow, Next Week

The City of Santa Fe announces another milestone in the Culture, History, Art, Reconciliation and Truth process that’s known by the acronym CHART.

Through the procurement a Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued on March 8, 2021, and proposals were due on April 6, 2021. A selection committee operating under strict procurement code guidelines scored the applications. The selection committee is recommending that Artful Life be awarded the contract to lead the process.

REMINDER: City Council committee hearings on the award of the contract begin this week and continue next week. The agendas and packets will be available on Search - PrimeGov Portal. Meetings begin at 5 p.m. and can be viewed on the City of Santa Fe YouTube channel.

  • Finance Committee on July 6;
  • Quality of Life Committee on July 7;
  • Public Works and Utilities Committee on July 12;
  • The Governing Body is expected to vote on the consulting contract on July 14, 2021.

Valerie Martinez is the lead and Founding Director of Artful Life. She was born and raised in Santa Fe, and is a former Poet Laureate of the City (2008-20010).
