JULY 2, 2021 -- The City of Santa Fe announces another milestone in the Culture, History, Art, Reconciliation and Truth process that’s known by the acronym CHART.
Through the procurement a Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued on March 8, 2021, and proposals were due on April 6, 2021. A selection committee operating under strict procurement code guidelines scored the applications. The selection committee is recommending that Artful Life be awarded the contract to lead the process.
Committee hearings on the award of the contract begin next week. The contract will be considered by the City Council Finance Committee on July 6, the Quality of Life Committee on July 7, Public Works and Utilities Committee on July 12. The Governing Body is expected to vote on it the consulting contract on July 14, 2021. The agenda and packet will be available on Search - PrimeGov Portal.
At the January 13, 2021, Governing Body Meeting the Substitute CHART resolution was unanimously approved and the entire Governing Body co-sponsored the resolution. Read the final, adopted text of the resolution here: santafenm.gov/chart.

Valerie Martinez is the lead and Founding Director of Artful Life. She was born and raised in Santa Fe, and is a former Poet Laureate of the City (2008-20010).
