SANTA FE, April 13, 2022 — The City of Santa Fe Fire Department invites the public to attend the department’s 34th Cadet Academy Graduation.

The event will take place at 10 a.m. tomorrow, April 14, at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, 201 W. Marcy Street. Enter the parking garage from S. Federal Place.

Sixteen academy graduates and three lateral hires will be welcomed into the department. These firefighters will fill positions vacated by attrition (retirements and resignations) and promotions.

“This will be an important day for the Fire Department and for the city,” says Chief Brian Moya. “Keeping our staffing levels full helps the department to provide expeditious and efficient responses to emergency calls in Santa Fe.”

Speakers will include Chief Brian Moya, Director of Community Health and Safety Kyra Ochoa, City Manager John Blair, and Mayor Alan Webber.
