Public Invitation: Groundbreaking of Downtown Restroom Site at 100 Water Street

City's First Public Restroom in Heart of Tourism District

Residents and members of the media are invited to join Mayor Alan Webber, Tourism Director Randy Randall, and Members of the City Council as they perform a ceremonial groundbreaking of this important new facility.

When/Where: 1 p.m., Wednesday July 14, 2021, 100 Water Street.

Mayor Webber: “We’ve worked long and hard to find the right place, the right design and the right funding for this essential public facility. Getting this downtown restroom built will serve our residents and our visitors and add to Santa Fe’s well-deserved reputation as a place where everyone is welcome."

Randy Randall: "This is a big deal. As of next January, Santa Fe will for the first time be able to provide public restroom facilities in our historic district for the comfort and convenience of the 2.5 million visitors we receive each year."

Television: The City will be able to provide video of the event upon request. Contact daherndon@santafenm.gov
