The mission of the Facilities Division is to plan, design and build safe, efficient and cost-effective public facilities that comply with all federal, state and local codes. Once built, the mission is to provide safe, clean and well maintained facilities through a system of preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
The Facilities Division implements the master planning, design and construction of community facilities such as:
- Libraries
- Senior Centers
- Recreational Facilities
- Parks
- Police Stations
- Fire Stations
- Other Buildings
These community facilities are built through the use of consultants, in-house designs, construction by contractors, and the LOCALS / Force Account Program.
LOCALS & Force Account Program
Some of the functions and benefits of LOCALS and Force Account Crew include:
- Implementing Capital Improvement Projects primarily developed by in-house designs
- Allowing significant cost savings over the use of contractors
