Welcome to the City Facility Management Division. We are dedicated to creating and maintaining safe, efficient, sustainable, and welcoming environments for all residents, stakeholders, and staff. Our team plays a crucial role in planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining city facilities, ensuring that our community spaces meet the diverse needs of our citizens. With a commitment to excellence, we strive to enhance the quality of life in our city through effective facility management.
Our mission is clear: to plan, design, construct, and maintain facilities that serve as a foundation for community engagement, safety, and sustainability. We believe that well-managed facilities support the city's operations and foster a sense of belonging among residents. We aim to be transparent and responsive to our community's needs, ensuring that our services reflect the values and aspirations of those we serve.
We are committed to adopting eco-friendly practices across all city facilities, from construction to day-to-day maintenance. By integrating energy-efficient technologies, sustainable materials, and reducing waste, we strive to minimize our environmental footprint. Our projects are designed with long-term sustainability in mind, supporting the city's goal of fostering a greener, more resilient future.
We believe the community’s voice is essential in shaping our city’s spaces. Your ideas and feedback guide our projects, ensuring that we create facilities that reflect the values of our diverse population. Through public forums, online surveys, and community meetings, we invite residents to share their thoughts and help shape the future of our city’s infrastructure.
We are proud of the transformations our city has undergone through thoughtful facility management. Below are some of our most recent accomplishments:
- Santa Fe Teen Center: the planning, design, and construction of a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly facility that serves as a central hub for our community’s youth, providing opportunities for recreation, education, and community gatherings.
- Water Street Restrooms: the planning, designing, and construction of a public restroom facility in the heart of downtown Santa Fe to provide much-needed access to restrooms for events and visitors to Santa Fe.
- Historic Renovation of the Santa Fe Train Depot: the planning, design, and construction of a complete historic renovation of the city’s historic Train Depot building, including both interior and exterior work, returning this facility to its historic character and preserving the building for generations to come.
Our Administration and Leadership Team oversees all operations and aligns our services with the city’s long-term goals. They manage budgets, develop policies, and ensure compliance with regulations. With their strategic oversight, our team delivers innovative solutions that enhance the quality of city facilities.
The Capital Project Management Team is tasked with overseeing large-scale construction and renovation projects. From feasibility studies to project delivery, they ensure that every development meets our high quality, sustainability, and community benefit standards. Stakeholder engagement is at the heart of their efforts, incorporating feedback from residents into every stage of the project.
Our Construction Team brings vision to life. They manage every detail of construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with precision. Licensed professionals and skilled tradespeople work collaboratively to uphold safety standards and build facilities that reflect the values of our community.
The Custodial Team ensures that our city facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for all. With a focus on sustainable cleaning practices, the team plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy environment in public spaces. Their dedication contributes to a positive experience for all who visit or work in city buildings.
The Maintenance Team takes a proactive approach to ensure the smooth functioning of city facilities. By addressing repairs and conducting preventive maintenance, they extend the life of our buildings and ensure that they remain comfortable and functional for all users.
Our Property Management Team handles the day-to-day oversight of city-owned properties, managing leasing agreements, tenant relations, and regulatory compliance. Their work maximizes the value of our city’s real estate assets while ensuring that these properties effectively serve the public's needs.
