Supporting Family-Friendly Initiatives

Santa Fe thrives when families do. The City’s Office of Economic Development is committed to making Santa Fe a family-friendly community — one where businesses, parents, and children all have the support they need to grow and succeed.

Through initiatives that expand access to affordable childcare, promote family-supportive workplaces, and enhance quality of life, we’re helping create an economy that works for everyone.

In partnership with Santa Fam, we recently launched the Family-Friendly Business Guide, highlighting local employers who prioritize family wellbeing. Together, we’re building a city where supporting families is good for business — and good for Santa Fe.

Economic Mobility

Economic mobility means creating real pathways for individuals to grow, adapt, and pursue opportunities—including entrepreneurship. By removing barriers for workers and employers, we’re building a more inclusive and resilient economy for all.

This includes efforts like expanding Spanish-language outreach, improving financial literacy and empowerment, increasing access to childcare, and coordinating with the Office of Affordable Housing to support stability and opportunity for Santa Fe families.

We also support a Living Wage.
