1 Oct, 2024

Daniel Hernandez has been named the City of Santa Fe’s Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency (MRA) director.

“Daniel’s vast set of skills and experience will be a huge asset to getting the Midtown project completed,” said City Manager John Blair.

Hernandez, founder of real estate advisory development, planning and project management firm Proyecto, LLC, consulted on major projects in California. Recently, he was the owner’s representative for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum managing the design and other predevelopment and developments activities for its new downtown Santa Fe building.

"I am thrilled to be asked to return to the Midtown redevelopment project and direct the newly established MRA,” Hernandez said. “I share with the City the vision to bring the development of Midtown to fruition.  I was honored to meet so many members of the Sante Fe community during the planning process and I truly understand and respect the many aspirations and dreams to create a place that is uniquely Santa Fe and also environmentally sustainable and socially equitable. I know that there are many hurdles ahead, but I will bring the leadership and sense of focus and collaboration to Santa Fe's diverse communities and the city's leadership. Together we can do great things!"
