The City of Santa Fe Public Library system will celebrate Native American Heritage Month with four events spread over all branches.

Opening Concert

    Saturday, Nov. 9, 4-5 p.m.
    Main Library in the Library Portal.

Additional events include:

Tasiawelanu and the Healing Blanket

A special event with local children's author Laurah Morningstar Winder as she shares the story of Tasiawelanu and the Healing Blanket. This heartwarming story follows Tasiawelanu, an Iroquois boy who moves from Santa Fe to New York City and struggles to fit in until his grandmother's visit changes everything.

Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with this award-nominated tale of family, tradition, and adapting to new surroundings!

Make a Pinch Pot

Southside Library staff member Charlene, an enrolled member of the Menominee Nation, will teach us how to make pinch pots. Charlene holds a BA in Fine Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts.
