Location: Arroyo de los Pinos behind Herb Martinez Park
Description: EMCO will install gabion baskets in the arroyo for erosion control. Work began July 15 and is expected to take at least a month. The entry point will be at Santa Clara Drive and Alamosa Drive. Traffic control and signage will be in place with minimal impact on traffic.

Location: Agua Fria/South Meadows
Project Description: The Public Works Department is constructing the Agua Fria/South Meadows Intersection Improvements Project. The project includes adding turning bays on Agua Fria and South Meadows and improving the signal. Traffic delays will occur, and you should seek alternate routes when possible. The detour is from South Meadows to Rufina and Jemez Rd. Signage is in place.

Location: Camino Porvenir, Fayette St, and between the Acequia Trail and Potencia St
Project Description: On behalf of PNM and under the oversight of NMED PSTB, INTERA is conducting environmental investigation activities along the City of Santa Fe-owned Acequia Trail and in the roadways along Camino Porvenir (near the intersection with Baca St) and along Fayette St. Traffic control and signage will be in place, including necessary detours. Activities include drilling and installing three monitoring wells (one per location). Drilling has been delayed and will begin on oon and continue until mid-to-late Oct. 2024. Work will begin at 8:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and will conclude at approximately 5 pm each day.

Location: Cerro Gordo Open Space
Project Description: The second phase of an ongoing project, which includes earthwork and fencing, began in November 2022. All work will be performed on Nature Conservancy property, but access is via the City Parks Department’s Cerro Gordo Open Space trailhead parking area. The preserve will remain open. The construction site is temporarily fenced.

Project Description: Transmission & Distribution will install new water services on Gooney Bird Way, Thomas Rd, and Shoofly St., replacing a fire hydrant at 300 Don Gaspar. This work will take place from Aug. 19-23.

Location: Guadalupe St.
Project Description: The work on the Guadalupe St. Reconstruction Project began on September 11, 2023. The project is a complete reconstruction of Guadalupe from Alameda to Paseo De Peralta. The project will last for the next 18 months and will include closures, lane shifts, and flagger operations. The project is now in phase II, removing the sidewalk, curb, and gutter from West San Francisco St to Paseo De Peralta, along with the median curb replacement at the intersection of Guadalupe & Paseo De Peralta. Work will include removing sidewalks and curb ramps; sidewalks will be closed during construction with pedestrian detours.

Location: Beckner Road and Richards Avenue
Project Description: Message boards and Temporary Traffic Control at the Beckner and Richards Ave intersection will be in place. This is for public Safety. Beckner Rd. shall remain as Right-In and Right-out access only during this work. Left turn movements from Beckner Rd (North) or Mission Bend Rd will not be permitted. (South) until the signals are nearing completion. During the construction, motorists from the Mission Bend Sub-Division, including the school, who wish to take a left turn and head south on Richards Ave. will temporarily use the Mission Bend (North) intersection. Right in/Right out access to Mission Bend (South) will be permitted.

Location: Rail Trail between Alta Vista St. and I-25
Project Description: Portions of the Rail Trail will be closed July 29-August 26, as GM Emulsion will perform trail maintenance and patchwork. Suitable detours will be provided for closed areas.

Location: Santa Fe Place Mall along the trail by the soccer fields.
Project Description: A drainage discharge will be cleared to allow proper water flow to the arroyo. Siberian elms, debris, and trash impeding the drainage system will be removed. Work will begin 8/12/2024 and end 8/16/2024. The working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Signage of work ahead will be in place, and detours for the trail will be provided if necessary.

Location: West Alameda – Defouri
Project Description: The contractor will trim or remove invasive trees along the SF River Trail. The work will begin on 8/12/2024 and end on 8/16/2024. The sidewalk will be closed and detoured during the 6:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. working hours. The attached map shows the detour.
