Hyde Park: NMDOT is doing a significant project on Hyde Park Road. This is not a city project. The road will be closed six days a week (open on Sundays) until early October. 

Contractor: AAC
Location: 609 Paseo de Peralta
Description: Emergency sewer repair work at 609 Paseo De Peralta will start today and continue for several days. Today, the road will be closed for a few hours only to inspect the area to gauge what type of materials and equipment will be needed for this job since the repair will require a trenching greater than eight feet. The road will be closed until the job is complete.

Contractor: Jaynes Corp
Location: CSV Cancer Center St. Michael’s
Description: Jaynes Corp will start doing the Median work for the Cancer Center at St. Michael’s. As the work goes on, Jaynes Corp will have lane closures. All traffic controls will be set up and in place. Please expect delays. If all goes according to plan, the job's estimated end date will be Oct. 25.

Contractor: EMCO
Location: Arroyo de los Pinos behind Herb Martinez Park
Description: EMCO will install gabion baskets in the arroyo for erosion control. Work began July 15 and is expected to take several months. The entry point will be at Santa Clara Drive and Alamosa Drive. Traffic control and signage will be in place with minimal impact on traffic.

Contractor: EMCO
Location: Agua Fria/South Meadows
Project Description: The Public Works Department is constructing the Agua Fria/South Meadows Intersection Improvements Project. The project includes adding turning bays on Agua Fria and South Meadows and improving the signal. Traffic delays will occur, and you should seek alternate routes when possible. The detour is from South Meadows to Rufina and Jemez Rd. Signage is in place. The project completion target date is December 2024.

Contractor: Davenport Construction Management, LLC 
Location: Closson Street Pedestrian Bridge, bridge spans the Santa Fe River from Closson Street to Alameda Street. 
Project Description: Demolition and removal of the existing pedestrian bridge due to structural failure. Work is to begin on Nov 4 and should be completed on Nov. 29. Road closures to include Alto Street Alley between Barela Street and Closson Street., and Closson Street between Alto Street and Alto Street Alley. Additional closure of the Santa Fe River Trail 20 feet each side of the trail at the intersection of the location of the pedestrian bridge on the Alameda Street side of the river. Detours will be posted for all closures.

Contractor: EMCO
Location: Paseo Real
Description: EMCO will remove existing roadway surfacing and install new pavement and markings from Huey Rd to 11 Paseo Real. Flaggers will direct traffic through the construction zone. Expect delays and loose gravel during the paving process. Construction is expected to last three to four weeks.

Contractor: INTERA Incorporated
Location: Camino Porvenir, Fayette St, and between the Acequia Trail and Potencia St
Project Description: On behalf of PNM and under the oversight of NMEDPSTB, INTERA is conducting environmental investigation activities along the City of Santa Fe-owned Acequia Trail and in the roadways along Camino Porvenir (near the intersection with Baca St) and Fayette St. Traffic control and signage will be in place, including necessary detours. Activities include drilling and installing three monitoring wells (one per location). Drilling will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and continue until mid-to-late Oct. 2024. From then on, drilling work is scheduled to start at 8 am. Monday through Friday and will conclude at approximately 5 pm each day.

Contractor: The Nature Conservancy
Location: Cerro Gordo Open Space
Project Description: The second phase of an ongoing project includes earthwork and fencing. All work will be performed on Nature Conservancy property, but access is via the City Parks Department’s Cerro Gordo Open Space trailhead parking area. The preserve will remain open. The construction site is temporarily fenced.

Contractor: GM Emulsion
Location: Guadalupe St.
Project Description: The work on the Guadalupe St. Reconstruction Project began in January
2024. The project is a complete reconstruction of Guadalupe St. from Alameda to Paseo De Peralta. The project will include closures, lane shifts, and flagger operations. The project is now in phase II, with the sidewalk, curb, and gutter installed from West San Francisco St to Paseo De Peralta. The traffic signals at the intersections of West San Francisco Street and North Guadalupe Street, along with the intersection of Catron Street and North Guadalupe Street, have been removed; a four-way stop sign is now in place—project completion target date: June 2025.

Contractor: GM Emulsion and McDade-Woodcock
Location: Beckner Road and Richards Avenue
Project Description:  The City of Santa Fe’s contractors continue to make progress on the intersection improvements.  Temporary Traffic Control at the Beckner and Richards Ave intersection will remain in place through the completion of the project with restricted left turns at that intersection.  Through Friday, Oct. 18, right turns from Richards Avenue onto Beckner Road will be prohibited for westbound traffic during reconstruction of the westbound lane and paving at the intersection.  A temporary detour will be in place for westbound Beckner traffic from Richards at the intersection of Governor Miles.  A message board will be in place to notify motorists of the pending temporary closure of right turns at that intersection. Right turns at the intersection for Beckner westbound traffic will be reopened by the end of the day on Friday, Oct 18.

Location: Nava Ade Trail between Governor Miles Rd. to Rodeo Rd.
Project Description: Portions of the Nava Ade Trail will be closed from Oct.15 to Oct.18 while GM Emulsion performs trail maintenance and patchwork. Suitable detours will be provided for closed areas.

Contractor: Franco’s Trees and Landscaping
Location: St. Francis to Paseo de Peralta
Project Description: Franco’s will do heavy tree-thinning in the Arroyo Mascaras. The work is anticipated to take two weeks. Portions of the walking trail may be closed for tree loading. Work began Oct. 5.

Contractor: Seeds of Wisdom
Location: West Alameda
Project Description: Seeds of Wisdom is thinning trees along the Santa Fe River from the Gonzales bridge to St. Francis. All trees being cut are invasive species. Temporarily, temporary access to the river trail will sometimes be provided for high-risk trees being cut. The trail would only be closed for a couple of hours, and all work would be done outside of school hours. Flagmen will be in place to direct traffic through the work zone when necessary. Work is anticipated to take a few weeks.
