Important Opportunity for Minority/Women-Owned/Small Businesses

The City of Santa Fe – Santa Fe Trails (SFT) hereby announces its proposed FFY 2020-2022 goal of 6.4% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in applicable federally funded contracts. The proposed goal and its rationale are available for inspection during normal business hours at the SFT office, and we will accept comments on the goal for 30 days from the date of this notice (06/28/19).

The City of Santa Fe will be receiving funding from the Federal Transit Administration to support the operations of Santa Fe Trails, a public transit bus system. Santa Fe Trails operates ten local bus routes.  The “Santa Fe Pickup” is a downtown circulator with frequent service and free fares.  Service begins on most routes between 5:30 am and 7:30 am on weekdays, with later start times on weekends.   The Santa Fe Pickup Historic District shuttle operates at ten-minute intervals; the Museum shuttle operates at thirty-minute intervals.  Paratransit service for seniors and persons with mobility limitations is available with prior reservation.

As part of this grant program, we participate in the Disadvantaged Business Program required by Congress as a condition of receiving federal funds. This program provides assistance to minorities, women, and other socially and economically disadvantaged individuals as well as small business concerns and encourages participation in the highway/transit construction and operations as well as other industries that support transit services.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation processes the applications from firms seeking Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification. We encourage you to get information about becoming certified in the State of New Mexico under the Unified Certification Program by contacting:
