Community Gallery

The Community Gallery offers inspiring exhibitions and programming uniquely centered on artists and makers from Santa Fe and the surrounding region. Housed in a light-filled, 1200-square foot space next to the Community Convention Center downtown, the gallery features rotating exhibitions by Santa Fe artists, art collectives, and themed group shows.
The gallery also serves as a free, welcoming gathering place for the Santa Fe community and visitors to enjoy diverse arts and culture events--from celebrations to readings to workshops to professional development talks to musical performances. Recent programming includes poetry workshops with the Poet Laureate, Black History Month celebrations, bookmaking and collage workshops, arts criticism writing workshops, a wellness talk and a corner desk one hour concert. The gallery is fully ADA accessible and offers gender-neutral, single-user restrooms.

[TabLe]: Artists Reimagine the Meaning of the Family Table
In May, the City of Santa Fe Community Gallery presents two panel discussions in conjunction with [TabLe], the current group exhibition featuring 23 artists exploring the meaning of the family table.
The works on view reflect a wide range of experiences, from solitude and fear to memory, conflict, nostalgia, absence, and the idealization of the family table. Curated by Art is the Solution recipients Kemely Gómez, Rocío Rodríguez, and Carol Schrader, the exhibition invites visitors to consider how traditions, rituals, and domestic spaces shape our understanding of gathering.

Pop-Up Exhibitions and Events
The Community Gallery provides local organizations with the opportunity to host pop-up exhibitions and events in the space throughout the year, subject to availability. Pop-up exhibitions are displayed for up to two weeks, while events are typically one day or night only.
Local artists and arts organizations interested in hosting a pop-up exhibition or event are encouraged to reach out to discuss available opportunities. Events can be public or private, with a limited capacity.
For inquiries regarding space availability, submission guidelines, and the process for organizing your event or exhibition, please contact the Gallery Manager at rraubin@santafenm.gov or 505-795-3767. Due to limited availability between exhibitions, early communication is crucial for securing the space and ensuring a smooth experience. We encourage all interested parties to review the Pop-Up Exhibition and/or Pop-Up Event Guidelines prior to submitting proposals. Organizations and artist groups should align their ideas with the gallery’s mission and community engagement goals and provide details regarding setup and exhibition requirements.
