Airport Art Program

When the new Santa Fe Regional Airport expansion opened in March 2023, the airy, open space also inaugurated a spectacular array of artwork by contemporary local artists represented by local galleries. The Arts & Culture Department has partnered with the Santa Fe Gallery Association to provide a rotating quarterly exhibit of paintings, photography, sculpture glasswork, weaving, and other mediums. Most art exhibited at the airport is available for purchase; contact the representative gallery to inquire. Visit the SFGA’s site to see current and past SAF airport exhibits.

You can find Ehren Kee Natay’s original mural “Shiprock at Dusk” in the passageway as you exit the terminal.

Tom Waldron’s metal sculpture “Flask” stands just down from the main entrance near the administrative entrance.

Additional sculptures will be arriving to welcome visitors along the drive to the airport. Please sign up for our newsletter for forthcoming calls for public art for this space.

Pianists, stay tuned for opportunities to play the airport’s fine baby grand for travelers in the gate area—our volunteer piano program is in the works.
