The Code Blue protocol has been activated for Friday through Monday, January 23 to 26, in response to dangerously cold temperatures forecasted below 15°F across the Santa Fe region and potential severe winter weather.

In 2006, wildland-fire professionals from Anchor Point Group/Fire Management Consultants evaluated the City's wildland fire hazard and risk. Anchor Point assessed communities within one mile of the City limits and ranked them according to wildfire hazard.
