Reserve a Street Permit for an Event
Whether you're organizing a block party, parade, procession, or any event requiring a street closure, obtaining a street permit is essential for compliance with local regulations and ensuring the safety of all participants.
To request a street permit for an event, please complete the electronic form below at least 30 to 60 days before your event. Once your request is received, a Marketing and Special Events Coordinator will follow up regarding permit fees, insurance requirements (if applicable), and logistical details.
- Obtain signatures from residents and businesses affected by the street closure.
- Download the Signature Form for Street Closures
- After completion, email the form to: parkingpermits@santafenm.gov
- Obtain a free event map from the City’s GIS office showing your event location and the street closure route.
- Arrange traffic control by contacting a certified traffic control company:
- A traffic control plan is required to finalize your permit and must be submitted at least 14 business days before your event.
- Arrange for barricades to be set up prior to your event and removed afterward.
