City of Santa Fe Junior Ranger Program

Explore Santa Fe’s parks, river, plants, animals, history, and culture as a City of Santa Fe Junior Ranger.

The Junior Ranger Program invites kids and families to get outside, visit local parks, and learn how to care for the land, water, wildlife, and communities that make Santa Fe special. Through hands-on activities, young explorers can discover the Santa Fe River watershed, investigate soil and geology, identify native plants, look for animal tracks, and learn about the people and traditions that continue to shape this place.

Junior Rangers are curious, respectful, and ready to help. Whether you are visiting Water History Park, the Railyard, Las Acequias Park, Cross of the Martyrs, Frenchy’s Field, or another Santa Fe park, every visit is a chance to notice something new and practice caring for the outdoors we all share.
