Fort Marcy Recreation Complex Parking Lot Closure Notice

The Fort Marcy Recreation Complex parking lot will be closed to all traffic and parking on Sunday, March 15, 2026. During this closure, GME Construction will be re-striping the parking lot, handicap spaces, crosswalks, and curbs, as well as re-setting parking space curbs.

If needed, the parking lot will be closed again on Sunday, March 22, 2026 to complete any remaining striping work that could not be finished on March 15 due to weather or other unforeseen complications.

Parking will remain available during normal business hours Monday through Saturday, so members, residents, and visitors can continue to enjoy the park and fitness center without interruption.

The ice arena is now open and will operate under its regular programming.

2026 Summer Youth Program Registration Opens April 8


Registration for the 2026 Summer Youth Program is a two-step process.

 

Step 1: Schedule Your Registration Appointment Online

Beginning Wednesday, April 8, at 8:00 a.m., you must schedule a registration appointment online.

Step 2: Attend Your In-Person Registration Appointment

After scheduling your appointment, you must attend your in-person registration appointment on:

Registration will take place in person at your scheduled appointment time.

 

Program Overview

Ages: 6 to 12 years
Dates: Monday, June 1, to Friday, July 24, 2026
Attendance: Full-time required
Fees: Sliding-scale structure

Payment is due at the time of registration.

Proof of age and income are required.

Proof of Income:
Most recent tax return for the household
Most recent pay stubs for the household, Social Security, or disability

Summer Swim Lessons at Bicentennial Pool and Salvador Perez Pool

Swim Lesson Registration

Registration Opens: May 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

Location: Bicentennial Pool (BC Pool)

Cost: $60 per session

All registration will take place at the BC Pool and will remain open during regular business hours while session space is available.

Use the skill descriptions to select the correct level for your child. If your child can confidently perform all skills in a level, please register them for the next level up.

 

Level 1A

Beginner lessons for ages 3 and 4

Skills: Water exploration, blowing bubbles, putting face and head in water, front and back float

 

Level 1B

Beginner lessons for age 5 and up

Skills: Water exploration, blowing bubbles, putting face and head in water, front and back float

 

Level 2

Intermediate lessons for age 5 and up

Skills: Front glide, back glide, treading water, jumping in, swimming to the side of the pool

 

Level 3

Advanced lessons for age 5 and up

Skills: Rhythmic breathing, elementary backstroke, front crawl, sit dives
