BC Temporary Hours during GCCC Pool Closure
The pool facilities at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center (GCCC) remain closed while repairs are underway. A technician is currently assessing the air flow unit, and we hope to have more information to share soon.
In the meantime, Bicentennial Pool and Fort Marcy Pool are available on a temporary schedule to accommodate swimmers.
Please note: These hours are subject to change. Rain is forecast throughout the week, and all pools, both indoor and outdoor, follow lightning closure protocols.

Wednesday, September 16
Bicentennial Pool: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Fort Marcy Pool: 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 17
Bicentennial Pool: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Fort Marcy Pool: 6:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Friday, September 18
Bicentennial Pool: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

After School Program 2026
Sports, swimming, ice skating, social games, fun with food projects, arts and crafts, and more!
- Ages: 6–12
- Program Dates: August 17–May 7
- Location: Genoveva Chavez Community Center, 3221 Rodeo Road
Transportation
Transportation is available until vans reach maximum capacity.
Transportation to the after-school program will be provided from the following locations:
- Amy Biehl Community School
- Piñon Elementary
- Carlos Gilbert Elementary
- Gonzales Community School
No children will be transported without prior payment and registration.
Registration
Registration appointment slots open Monday, July 20, at 8:00 a.m. Once an appointment slot is secured, your registration appointment will take place in person on Monday, July 27, at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center.
A registration appointment does not guarantee a spot in the program. Registration will continue until the program reaches maximum capacity. Children will be added to the waitlist once the program is full.
Please bring one of the following for age verification:
- Birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Passport

2026 Summer Youth Program Registration Opens April 8
Registration for the 2026 Summer Youth Program is a two-step process.
Step 1: Schedule Your Registration Appointment Online

Program Overview
Ages: 6 to 12 years
Dates: Monday, June 1, to Friday, July 24, 2026
Attendance: Full-time required
Fees: Sliding-scale structure
Payment is due at the time of registration.
