The mission of the Santa Fe Police Department Bomb Squad is to provide a professional resource to investigate, mitigate and safely resolve all incidents involving the use or threatened use of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive devices or substances. The Bomb Squad provides assistance to other local, county, state, and federal agencies to preserve life, limit the destruction of property, and restore operations to a normal state safely and efficiently through the use of specialized training, equipment, and tactics.
