Commissions & Boards
The City's Land Development Code (SFCC 14-2.1) establishes the review and decision-making bodies for each development application. In addition to processing administratively reviewed development applications, the Planning Division processes development requests that require review by the Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and the Governing Body at a public hearing.
The Planning Commission meets on the first Thursday of the month to review and approve proposals for new development projects in the City of Santa Fe. The Commission also makes recommendations to the Governing Body on requests for rezonings, master plans, annexations, and amendments to the City's Land Development Code. Once your case has been assigned a hearing date by the Planning Manager, you must coordinate with your case planner to ensure all notice and posting requirements are met per Chapter 14.
2024 Planning Commission Hearing Schedule
The Commission is composed of nine members who are qualified by training, experience, and ability to exercise sound and practical judgment on civic, social, economic, and governmental affairs.
