The Municipal Recreation Complex (MRC) is a permit-only facility. 


A permit is required to use the MRC for adult and youth league play, sports tournaments, high school sporting events, and special events (family gatherings, business functions, group activities, etc.).

To reserve all parks (including the MRC) except the Railyard, follow the steps below.

Permit Requirements and Instructions 


A permit is required to reserve a City park for family gatherings, parties, classes, group activities, or other special events with 50 or more attendees. Groups under 50 are not required to obtain a permit; however, permit holders will have priority.

 

Steps

Complete and submit an online permit application (see below). Applications must be submitted thirty to sixty days before your event. 

 

After you submit your application, please confirm your application has been submitted by contacting the Special Events Office at 505-955-2110.

  • logistics (parking, electricity, number of attendees, etc.)
  • the cost of your permit (see Cost of Permit below)
  • whether a street closure is necessary (Click here for Street Permits)
  • whether or not your event will require a Liability Insurance Certificate (see Liability Insurance Certificate below)

 

 

Liability Insurance Certificate

Groups of 100+ require A $2,000,000/with a $4,000,000 Aggregate liability certificate and the City of Santa Fe must be the additional insured and certificate holder for the date of the event.  Please include the name, (Location)“All City of SF Parks”, and date of the event in the description of operation portion of the certificate.  The City of SF requires the endorsement page in addition to the accord certificate.
